摘要 PURPOSE: Vertical floating type hot dip coating method and apparatus are provided in which molten metal is stably floated and then plated by installing high frequency coils at the upper part of existing linear induction motors, and using electromagnetic body forces of the linear induction motors and high frequency coils. CONSTITUTION: In a vertical floating type hot dip coating apparatus in which linear induction motors are installed, the vertical floating type hot dip coating apparatus using linear induction motors and high frequency coils comprises high frequency coils(7,8) to which an alternating current is impressed, and each of which are installed at the lower part of a plating bath(1) that is at right above linear induction motors(3,4). The vertical floating type hot dip coating method using linear induction motors and high frequency coils is characterized in that high frequency coils(7,8) are installed at right above the linear induction motors(3,4), and a high frequency alternating current is impressed to the high frequency coils(7,8), thereby generating skin effect on a molten metal(5) and a steel sheet(2) so that the steel sheet(2) is vertically floated and plated.
