The present invention provides a damping valve for an oscillation damper, in particular a piston valve assigned to the damping of the extension movement, and does this by virtue of the fact that the cross-section of the continuously open passage between the working spaces, which passage is formed by the damping valve, is constructed to be adjustable. A changing cross-section of the continuously open passage by means of a simple, operationally reliable and easily adjustable construction is achieved by virtue of the fact that the cross-section of passage formed by an inner wall of a projection of a spring-loaded valve plate and by a component fixed to the piston rod is formed by an adjustable body which can be adjusted in the axial direction of the piston rod and interacts with the projection of the valve plate.
