PURPOSE:To impart writing property to a thermal recording material of a type appreciated from the backside thereof, to enhance the adhesive strength of support with a thermal layer and to impart water resistance and damage resistance, by providing a matte layer to the single surface of a transparent support and forming an undercoat layer, a thermal recording layer and an overcoat layer to the opposite side thereof in this order. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording material has constitution such that a matte layer is provided to one surface of a transparent support and an undercoat layer, a thermal layer and an overcoat layer are provided to the opposite side thereof. As the transparent support, there is a polyester film or a polyolefin film and said film is used alone or in a laminated form. The thickness of the transparent support is set to 20-200mum. This thermal recording material has high writing property, prevents the thermal layer from releasing off the support, and has water resistance and damage resistance and, therefore, has a high commodity value. |
