Incandescent lamp operating circuit - uses controlled closure contact for supplying DC voltage to lamp within timed intervals

The operating circuit has a DC source (1) providing a voltage (UQ) which is fed to the lamp (2) at spaced time intervals by periodic operation of a closure contact (4) in series with the lamp. Pref. the period duration of the lamp operating voltage is determined by a source (8) providing pulses of defined duration in responses to pulses from a clock source (7) and fed to a relay (5) controlling the closure contact (4). Pref. the effective mean value of the clocked DC voltage corresponds to the rated voltage of the incandescent lamp. ADVANTAGE - Ensures long working life of lamp.
