An association or combination of haloperidol with a compound of formula 1 …… wherein Ar and Ar' are each independently phenyl or phenyl substituted by halogen, hydroxy, lower alkoxy or trifluoromethyl; n is 1 or 2; Y is hydrogen or amino; and X is hydrogen, hydroxy or lower alkyl is described. The use of the association or composition in a method of treating schizophrenia without precipitating neurological side effects such as extrapyramidal syndrome and tardive dyskinesia is also disclosed.
