PURPOSE:To easily manufacture an electrolyte plate having large film strength by adding wheat gluten serving as binder and glycerin solution serving as plasticizer to fireproof, inactive particles, and forming a non-burned product by roll molding process. CONSTITUTION:10-30pts. wheat gluten serving as binder and glycerin solution or ethylene glycol solution serving as plasticizer are mixed to fireproof, inactive particles having a particle size of 1.0mum or less such as lithium aluminate, and the mixture is kneaded, then roll-bonded on the surface of a mold release sheet. After drying, the mixture is peeled off from the sheet to obtain a non- burned plate, then the plate is heated in an electric furnace at 1,000-1,300 deg.C to obtain a porous plate. The porous plate is impregnated with an electrolyte comprising lithium carbonate and potassium carbonate to form an electrolyte plate for molten carbonate fuel cell. Thereby, the porous plate having easy production process, high productivity, large film strength, and small porosity can be obtained. |
