BOOT FOR MECHANICAL COUPLING

PURPOSE:To prevent the formation of cracks on a rubber boot for mechanical coupling by covering the inside surface of the boot by a thin film made of the high-polymeric elastic material in which the transmission amount of the plasticizer compounded into the rubber material is less than that of the rubber material as constituent. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a boot 1 is filled with grease 6, and a thin film 5 which is made of the high-polymeric elastic material in which the transmission amount of plasticizer is less than that of chloroprene rubber is formed onto the inside surface of the boot 1. The boot thus obtained maintains the shape retaining strength up to low temperature, and the extraction of the plasticizer in the boot into the grease can be prevented by the film 5.
