PURPOSE:To permit a set of signal pulses to read charges of all signals by transferring a charge between the initial transfer stage of a charge transfer register adjacent to any photoelectric transfer element strings and the final transfer stage of a charge transfer register adjacent to a photoelectric transfer string to be read out next. CONSTITUTION:After gates 95a and 95b are dot-opened temporarily to discharge an unnecessary charge due to a clear pulse ICG, charges are accumulated in light receiving parts 3'a and 3'b. Then a shift pulse SH is applied to gates 96a and 96b, and the accumulated signal charges in the light receiving parts 3'a and 3'b are shifted to transfer parts 97a and 97b. When transfer pulses phi1-phi4 are impressed on a transfer part 97, the charge shifted to the transfer parts 97a and 97b is outputted from an output part 98. Upon the charge transfer, the charge shifted to the transfer part 97b is transmitted through a joint part 97c and the transfer part 97a. |
