The hydration occurs in the presence of an aqueous liquid such that the heat developed during the hydration is used to evaporate water from the liquid. The heat generated is utilised in a heat exchanger. The hydration and heat exchange are carried out at a pressure above atmospheric. The steam is completely condensed in the heat exchanger and the condensate returns over the heat transfer surface of the heat exchanger to the hydration liquid. |
