PURPOSE:To eliminate use of any core in casting a housing and to make air feed smooth by constituting a scroll chamber from a scroll groove in the housing body and a bent projection on a lid, and by forming this bent projection and a continuing part from said groove in a curvature. CONSTITUTION:A lid 5b covering an opening 11 provided in the housing body 5a is formed from a bearing part 19 and a ring-shaped periphery 21, and a bent projection 23 is formed consolidated with the inside of said periphery 21. This bent projection 23 protrudes toward the periphery while it is bent, and its continuing part with a scroll groove 3a in the housing body 5a constitutes a smooth curvature, and this bent projection 23 and the scroll groove 3a form a scroll chamber 3 of the compressor concerned C. Thus a housing 5 can be cast without use of any core, which provides manufacture of ones easy to cast and with no risk of failure. Further, air feed can be made smoothly from diffuser 14 to the scroll chamber 3 to ensure easy supercharging with good filling efficiency at a high air content. |
