PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in optical characteristic due to the adhesion of dust by providing an optical head, a nozzle supplying an air flow to a face of an objective lens of the optical head and a fan delivering the air flow to the nozzle in interlocking with by an optical disc drive motor. CONSTITUTION:With the optical disc 2 loaded to a spindle motor 5 by a clamp and a hub 4, when the motor is driven, the torque is delivered to the fan 6 with a belt 9 and the fan 6 is drive. The air pressure generated by the fan 6 flows reversely through a pipe 15 and the air is blown near the face of the objective lens of the optical head 12. Thus,th dust stuck to the face of the objective lens is blown off to prevent the deterioration in optical characteristic. |
