<p>PURPOSE:To simplify a packet transfer by processing a packet so as to assemble one new packet when transferring it through other switchboard due to the fault of a relay circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a fault is generated in the relay circuit and the backup of the relay circuit 5 is executed by transmitting and receiving a packet through other packet switching network, 2 the whole packet PT (1) is stored in a user data UD (2). Control information CI (2) for other packet switching network 2 is added again, assembled to a transmission use data packet DT (2) in other packet switching network 2, a flag pattern and a frame check sequence are added to said packet and a packet PT (2) is formed. This packet PT (2) is transmitted to a switchboard 3 through other packet switching network 2 from a switchboard 4. The switchboard 3 extracts the packet PT (1) from this packet PT (2)s and processes it.</p> |
