PURPOSE:To set an ADF mode, etc., by entering an automatic original feed mode after an original setting sensor which detects an original on a platen turns off and then on more than once when a copy is taken again after transfer paper jams. CONSTITUTION:When the original is set on the platen 3 of an automatic original conveying device 1, an original setting sensor 4 detects the original and turns on. This state is held in ADF model. When a paper feed signal arrives from a main frame 1, a motor which is not shown in a figure rotates to convey the original with a separation belt 5 and only one original is separated with a separation blade 6. A computer checks a jam detection signal and if a jam occurs, the automatic feed mode is entered after the original setting sensor turns on and then off more than once to enter a pressure plate mode. |
