PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp image having a small fogging density in a snort period by heating a photosensitive material in the presence of water, base and/or base precursor and antifogging agent after or simultaneously with imagewise exposure and forming an imagewise distribution of movable dyes. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material contg. at least photosensitive silver halide, binder and dye donative material on a base is heated in the presence of the water, the base and/or base precursor and at least one of the antifogging agent after or simultaneously with imagewise exposure to form the imagewise distribution of the movable dyes. The antifogging agent to be used is simply required to exist in the stage of heating and is not always required to be preliminarily made to exist in the photosensitive material. The fluctuation of the photographic characteristics is resulted upon aging of the photosensitive material and the prepn. of the stable photosensitive material is difficult if a large amt. of the antifogging agent is preliminarily incorporated into the photosensitive material. The method consisting not in preliminarily incorporating the antifogging agent into the photosensitive material but is supplying the same from the outside in the stage of heating is effective to stably obtain the image. |
