The invention relates to a bite plate which is intended to be placed between mutually opposite molars or teeth and is provided with a dye which is to be transferred to the molars and teeth. The bite plate is formed by a disc- like component made from flexible material and delimited by two delimiting surfaces which extend parallel to one another, while rod-like elements, which extend at least virtually parallel to one another and at least virtually perpendicular to the delimiting surfaces, are embedded in the flexible material.
