Exhaust manifold of a twin branch exhaust pipe for multi cylinder internal combustion engines

A lambda probe of short construction measuring the state of the exhaust gas is arranged as close as possible to the internal combustion engine in a cut-out which is located in a partition wall between the exhaust ducts of the exhaust manifold of a twin branch exhaust pipe so that it is acted upon over its entire circumference by the exhaust gas flows of both ducts. The lambda probe closes the cut-out from the point of view of fluid flow and presents no flow resistance.
