PURPOSE:To prevent an ejecting port from being clogged and contrive a longer service life, by providing a pressurizing chamber partitioned from a small liquid chamber by an elastic member, storing an electrically insulating volatile liquid in the pressurizing chamber, and providing an evaporator for evaporating the liquid. CONSTITUTION:An electrically insulating volatile liquid 17 is stored in the pressurizing chamber 15, a heating element 18 as an evaporator is disposed in the state of being shielded by a protective film 19, and the heating element 18 generates heat when an pulse of voltage is applied to the heating element 18 from a heating power source 20. Based on the heat generation, the liquid 17 in the chamber 15 is evaporated with the result of volume expansion, whereby a diaphragm 16 is pushed upward, and a pulse of pressure is transmitted to the small liquid chamber 11. By the pulse of pressure, an appropriate amount of an ink 14 contained in the chamber 11 is ejected through the ejecting port 11a. |
