EYEGLASSES EITH EXCHANGABLE LENSES

The spectacle frame(1) comprises lens mounting rims (2) which only partly surround the respective interchangable lenses whose remaining lower edge portions are held by tensioned mono-filaments (3) in grooves in the lens perimeters. Each filament has one end secured to the respective rim(2) while their other ends come together at the frame bridge(7) and are secured to tensioning elements(8). The filaments may pass through grooves(6) in the outer perimeters of rims. The elements and upper bridge faces(9) may have complementary saw tooth profiles. A swivel bracket(12) may hold the elements in their filament tensioning position.
