PURPOSE:To discriminate a defect from an undercut, a spatter, etc. by forming a paint film of a non-magnetic material to a prescribed thickness on the surface of a body to be inspected, and executing a magnetic powder flaw detecting inspection from on this paint film. CONSTITUTION:Dust on the surface of a body to be inspected 1 is removed by an air blower device 8, and thereafter, a paint film 12 of a non-magnetic material is formed to a prescribed thickness by a necessary range on the surface of the body to be inspected 1. A magnetic powder flaw detecting inspection is executed by a magnetic powder flaw detecting device 7 by scattering a magnetic powder 6 onto the paint film 12. In this way, the surface of the body to be inspected 1 is finished to a surface whose unevenness is uniform by the paint film 12, and an unnecessary magnetic powder does not collect. A magnetic powder pattern is obtained by photographing the surface of the body to be inspected by an ITV camera. |
