PURPOSE:To enable to cook either under automatically controlled conditions or under manually set conditions by a constitution wherein auxiliary selection means, under the setting of which an encoder outputs signals allowing manual setting of heating temperature, heating time and the like, are provided in the cooker, which automatically controls an item selected among a plurality of cooking items. CONSTITUTION:Auxiliary selection positions 21 and 22 are provided below the indicating part, at which the names of a plurality of cooking items are indicated. When a knob 7 is set to select one of the cooking items 1-20, the encoder 8 inputs the five bit digital signal corresponding to the position, at which the knob 7 is set, to a microcomputer so as to perform the cooking based upon the predetermined program decided by the signal. When the knob 7 is set to select the auxiliary selection positon 21 or 22, the encoder 8 outputs the signal requiring sustained oscillation of microwave to the microcomputer. On the other hand, the required heating time is set with a timer 9. Owing to the setting as mentioned above, the microcomputer performs the cooking based upon the program corresponding to the auxiliary selection position 21 or 22. By employing the method as described above, the cookings under automatically controlled conditions and as well as under manually set conditions become possible, resulting in enlarging the cooking range. |
