<p>The saw-guide platform device (1) of this invention is intended to guide a portable power saw (17) over a work piece (2). The saw has a flat circular blade (17') and a flat base plate (15). The device is characterized by an elongated flat deck (5), a flat shoulder (4) extends outwardly from one side of the deck and is made of a material which is curable by the saw blade. The shoulder (4) has an outer edge (30) which provides a first trimmable blade-guide edge (30) adapted to indicate a predetermined line of cut and to guide the blade therealong. The top surface (10) of the deck and the top surface (10') of the shoulder together provide a flat support surface for the base plate. Upstanding means (6) extend above the top surface (10) of the deck for engaging and guiding the farther edge of the base plate so that the blade will be guided by the shoulder's outer edge (30) during the sawing of the work piece.</p> |
