<p>The installation comprises a first station (2) having a portion of pivoting rail (11) which can occupy a low position in which a front hook (16a) can be attached to the lower end of the quarter (15) suspended vertically by a rear hook (16b), and a high position, which is inclined in relation to the horizontal, the movement being controlled by a cable (21) and a jack (22), and a second station (3) having means of extension, comprising in particular two extension jacks (27, 28) which can undergo a prior pivoting movement under the action of a lifting jack (29). The two extension jacks are capable of acting directly on the front and rear hooks, thus placing the quarter in a position of horizontal extension with a view to the necessary treatments. The third station (4) comprises the same means of extension (31, 32, 33). Moreover, a portion of rail (7a) can undergo, under the action of two raising jacks (34, 35), a vertical translation as well as a pivoting. The quarter can thus be evacuated by gravity as far as the evacuation rail (9). The installation makes it possible to carry out practically all the operations of fat removal and of trimming of the quarter under the best working conditions and in a semi-automatic manner.</p> |
