PURPOSE:To provide a sheet-form thermal recording paper for automatic paper supply which is free from jamming or overlapped feeding at the time of supplying the paper to a printer, by providing a lubricant-containing layer on the back side of a paper serving as a base, and controlling the basis weight of a recording paper to within a specified range. CONSTITUTION:The sheet-form thermal recording paper utilizing a color forming reaction between a leuco dye and a color developer comprises a paper as a base, a thermal color forming layer 2 and a lubricant-containing layer 3. With the layer 3 provided, it is possible to prevent overlapped feeding from occurring when automatically supplying the recording paper, and the matching of the recording paper to a printer is enhanced. The recording paper is controlled to finally have a basis weight of 60-90g/cm<2>. If the basis weight is less than 60g/m<2>, the recording paper might fail to be supplied at the time of automatic paper supply, or jamming due to wrinkling or the like occurs frequently. If the basis weight exceeds 90g/m<2>, the recording paper is too rigid to obtain good close contact with a thermal head. |
