PURPOSE:To improve the wear resistance and fitness by combining a matrix contg. prescribed percentages of Cr, C, Mo, Si, P and Fe with a prescribed areal percentage of a dispersed phase having a prescribed average grain size and a prescribed composition. CONSTITUTION:The titled sintered Fe alloy is composed of an Fe alloy matrix and 2-20% by area of a dispersed phase having 20-150mum average grain size. The matrix consists of, by weight, 4-15% Cr, 1-3% C, 0.1-5% Mo, 0.3-1.5% Si, 0.2-1% P and the balance Fe, and the dispersed phase is made of an Fe alloy having a composition contg. 10-20% Cr, 1.5-3% C, 0.5-5% Mo, 0.3-1.5% Si and 1-10% one or more among Nb, Ta, Ti and V. The sintered Fe alloy has superior wear resistance and fitness.
