PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition having excellent resistance to degradation with heat and oxygen during molding process, by compounding a polyolefin resin with a phenolic compound having a specific structure and a specific amount of a phosphite compound based on the phenolic compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding a polyolefin (preferably a polypropylene) with (A) a phenolic compound of formula III produced by the esterification reaction of a dihydric alcohol of formula I with a propanoic acid of formula II (R1 is H or 1-3C alkyl, preferably methyl) or its acid halide, acid anhydride or lower alkyl ester and (B) a phosphite compound such as the compound of formula IV [preferably tris(2,5- di-t-butylphenyl)phosphite]. The amount of the component B is 0.1-15pts.(wt.), preferably 0.5-10pts. per 1pt. of the component A, and the sum of the components A and B is >=0.01wt% based on the polyolefin resin. |
