<p>PURPOSE:To record and reproduce plural kinds of control information with a simple constitution by recording and reproducing information regarding the tape position, the recording mode and the recording date, etc. of a magnetic tape by using a control signal consisting of three pulses having different duties. CONSTITUTION:When the information is recorded on an oblique track by a rotating head 1, three control signals having different pulse widths are inputted to a recording circuit 14, and the signals represent the position,the recording mode and the recording date, etc. of the magnetic tape of each channel. In detecting, the control signal recorded on the parallel track of the magnetic tape is inputted to a pattern detector 15 thorough a fixed head 1 and a reproducing circuit 3 and is high level width-detected 17 and low level width-detected 18 by a clock formed by the differentiation of a reproducing signal at its leading edge, and by the comparison 19 of detected widths,the control signal of specified type is detected. And the output signal of a circuit 3 is SP-converted 21 to output the control signal selected through a latch circuit 22.</p> |
