PURPOSE:To enable ensurance of a space at the side of a cross flow fan having a short axial length, by a method wherein the area of an upper outlet is increased above that of a lower outlet, and the axial length of an upper cross fan is increased above that of the shaft of a lower cross fan. CONSTITUTION:An air circuit in an air conditioner body 1 is composed of an air guide 5, an upper cross flow fan 6, and a lower cross fan 7, and motors 8 and 9 for driving are coupled to the upper and lower cross flow fans 6 and 7, respectively. The areas of upper and lower outlets 3 and 4 are set to a relation of the upper outlet 3 being than the lower outlet 4, and a blow-out airflow is also set to a relation of an upper blow-out airflow being larger than a lower blow-out airflow. In order to provide the relation, the size of a length (b) of the upper cross flow fan is increased above that of a length (c) of the lower cross flow fan. A lower motor 9 for driving can be moved by a distance (a) in a direction to the left of the front of an air conditioner body 1, and a wide space can be formed on the right side of the lower motor 9 for driving. A piping connection part and the like is disposed in the space to ensure a space required for a piping connection work. |
