PURPOSE:To make it possible to cause a Coanda phenomenon to conduct an efficient change of air direction by providing a staged portion inducing air delivery on the opposing side walls in the vicinity of a discharge port, forming a side wall of the discharge port to gradually widen from the staged portion and rotatably providing a damper between the staged portion and the discharge port. CONSTITUTION:A discharge grill 9 in a ventilation passage 6 has a side wall 9a curved to widen gradually toward a lower discharge port 3, and a staged portion 11 at a portion having a minimum width. Further, a plurality of horizontally air flow direction changing vanes 12 are provided between a front grill 4 and the discharge grill 9, and formed into a curved shape so that the air flow is smoothly branched to both the righthand and lefthand. When a damper 10 is opened, air flows as shown by arrow A through the discharge grill 9. However, a Coanda phenomenon is generated by the negative pressure of the staged portion 11, and the air flow is induced to the side wall side 9a, and discharged while widening. The horizontally air flow direction changing vanes 12 promote the operation of the air flow and increase the changing angle. On the other hand, when the damper 10 is closed, both ends of the damper 10 make contact with the staged portion 11 as shown by a two-dot chain line, and the sealing is secured by the face contact. |
