A belt band conveyor (1), having a conveyor belt (2) and having a channel (4) of trough-shaped cross-section whose surface facing the conveyor belt (2) is continuous in cross-section apart from air passage apertures (5), has a duct on the underside of the channel (4) which connects the air passages (5) and is divided in its longitudinal direction, each duct section (7) having an independent air feed (8) which is branched off from a common, continuous collector line (9). The channel (4) for the passing conveyor belt (2), with its supporting structure, is composed of individual lengths or sections (1a), and each length has an independent duct section (7) and a channel section and can be connected by its end face (11) to the adjoining length, the surfaces of the channel sections of the lengths (1a) facing the conveyor belt (2) being flush at their end faces. Thus belt band conveyors of any desired length can be produced and installed in a very simple manner (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
