The invention relates to a high density foamable casting composition for low-voltage cable fittings and communications cable fittings, as a sealing composition for masonry passages and partitions and also as a PUR-based corrosion protection composition against the attack of moisture and water, and has the aim of providing a cost-effective, foamable and cross-linking casting composition by means of which, at an ambient temperature of -10 DEG C to +55 DEG C, without supplying external heat, with a low time outlay and without substantial auxiliary means, the filling of hollow cavities, sealing against the penetration of water and/or corrosion protection can be achieved. According to the invention, additives comprising activators, pore regulators, fillers, water repellents and also diisocyanate and water are to this end to be admixed to a low-viscosity basic mixture of branched and linear, relatively short-chain polyether polyols which have hydroxyl numbers of from 150 to 800 and a molar mass primarily of from 1000 to 5000.
