METHOD FOR MULTISTAGE COMPRESSION MOLDING OF MELAMINE RESIN MOLDING MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To improve productivity, by using a melamine resin molding material having a specific composition and prescribing the molding pressure holding time in first stage molding to a specific range. CONSTITUTION:A multistage compression molding method is constituted so that a melamine resin molding material containing 100pts.wt. of a melamine resin comprising a melamine/formaldehyde resin or a resin mixture consisting of a melamine/formaldehyde resin, a urea/formaldehyde resin and/or ureas and about 0.4-3pts.wt. of a polyoxyalkylene compound is used and a molding pressure holding time is set to about 0-15sec. By this method, the enhancement in productivity due to the shortening of a molding cycle is enabled and a molded product having the high thickness uniformity and excellent cracking resistance of a coating layer is obtained.
