<p>An injection moulding machine comprises a pair of relatively movable mould carrying platens, and a shroud movable over one platen and biased by an actuating device into contact with the other platen to form an evacuable chamber about the moulds. A first sealing ring is provided on the one platen over which the shroud moves and a second sealing ring is provided on the other platen against which ring the end of the shroud abuts. A simple device for forming a vacuum chamber to facilitate degassing of an injected material.</p> |
