PURPOSE:To change load characteristic in a desired direction by disposing a high damping ability material at an opening formed on a rubber. CONSTITUTION:A vibration-proof rubber comprises a metallic outer cylinder 1, a metallic inner cylinder 2 and a rubber body 3 disposed therebetween. An opening portion 51 having suitable outlines symmetrical about a diameter passing the center of the metallic inner cylinder 2 in direction of an arrow X is bored in the the rubber body 3, and a high damping ability material or a low repulsive elasticity material is embedded in the opening portion 51. Thus, load characteristic in the arrow X direction can be changed. |
