The roller blind winder comprises an outer rotor type reversible motor (42) arranged inside a cylindrical winding shaft (12). A motor side epicycle reduction gear (15) transmits the reduced speed to the roller blind winding shaft (12). A braking mechanism (14) works simultaneously with the switching off of the motor, and a hand shaft is arranged with a reduction gear (18) which transmits the reduced speed to the motor side reduction gear (15).An automatic locking mechanism is arranged between the two reduction gears (18,15) on the motor and operation sides, for transmitting the drive from the hand operation shaft to the motor side reduction gear (15). A position control mechanism (16) counts the number of revolutions of the winding shaft using a counter, and it brings the winding shaft to a halt according to a preadjusted number of counted revolutions.
