PURPOSE:To generate a parity bit within a short period and to improve a processing time by forming the 1st and 2nd byte selecting circuits, a rotational shift circuit and a parity generating circuit. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and 2nd byte selecting circuits 10, 12 select bits included in the data of 1 byte located on a position corresponding to data for specifying the number of shifts out of input data. The rotational shift circuit 11 connected to the 1st byte selecting circuit 10 rotationally shifts the output of the circuit 10 by the number based upon the shifting number specifying data within the byte of the output to extract the output data of 1 byte. The parity generating circuit 13 generates a parity bit from the output of the circuit 12. Consequently, the parity bit can be generated within a short period and the processing speed can be improved. |
