PURPOSE:To inform an instruction for the replacement of a battery by detecting the plural executions of the starting operation of a recording head to the initial position under the state that setting processing in the initial position has not yet completed, informing an instruction for the replacement of a battery power supply and locking a recording device. CONSTITUTION:A counter 24A is reset when a CPU 22 ends the setting processing of the recording head 6 in the initial position. The counting value of the counter 24A is compared with a constant of a constant holding means 24B by the CPU 22, and at the coincidence of both the values, the CPU 22 informs the necessity of replacement of the battery power supply on a display 25 and locks the recording device to stop the operation of the recording device. If the starting operation of the recording head to the initial position is executed plural times, e.g. three times, before the completion of the setting in the initial position, considerable consumption of the battery power supply is detected and the indication for the replacement of the battery is informed on the display 25 to stop the operation of the recording device 4. |
