The intermediate glazing bar is intended for a sliding window assembly with plastic frames having at least two slidable relative to one another in upper and lower horizontal sectional members. The bar comprises flanges (2, 3) forming a first U-section with part (1') of the body perimeter to receive a glass pane, and a second U-section (6, 5, 1'", 3) parallel to the first and having one flange (6) spaced from the first U-section and a second flange (1'", 3) at least partly formed by a flange (3) of the first section. The hollow section of the body contains a sectional metal, pref. steel, reinforcing member (9).
