PURPOSE:To improve reflectivity and heat conductivity and to execute indirect laser beam processing with high stability by feeding a material suitable for laser beam processing into the space between a condenser lens and work, pressing the material to the work and detaching the material from the work after the processing. CONSTITUTION:A coil material 9 is pressed to the work 11 as a compression spring 5 pushes a retainer 6 downward. The material quality and sheet thickness most suitable for laser beam processing are selected for the coil material 9. The reflectivity of the laser light irradiated from the condenser lens 1 is thus made the same as the reflectivity in the processing stage of only the coil material 9. The heat conductivity can be adjusted by the thickness of the coil material 9 and the retainer 6 for pressing the coil material 9, by which weldability can remarkably be improved. Since the coil material 9 is partly welded to the work 11 by laser beam welding, said material needs be disconnected therefrom. A rotary solenoid 12 attached with an eccentric cam 13 is rotated for the above-mentioned purpose to slightly rotate the retainer 6 in an arrow 14 direction, by which the coil material 9 is also moved together and the welded part is disconnected. |
