<p>PURPOSE:To reduce remarkably the waiting time by charging a capacitor even during coloring, switching capacitors at each block and applying a thermal head drive current from the charged capacitors always with zero waiting time because all dots are colored for plural consecutive blocks normally. CONSTITUTION:Electrolytic capacitors C1-C3 connected in parallel with a power supply P have a capacitance of 20,000muF each and they are charged via diodes D1-D3 respectively. A terminal voltage across the capacitors C1-C3 is given to thermal heads TH via a changeover circuit SW and the capacitors are changed over by using switch elements S1-S3 conducted sequentially circulatingly at each power conduction of one block. Thus, power is applied from the changed capacitor always with zero waiting time.</p> |
