PURPOSE:To improve startability by arranging an intake air passage being common to each intake air passage on the down stream from an opening/closing valve of each intake air passage so as to provide a heater for heating of the intake air for the time of low temperature use of an engine in its inner part of the passage, in an engine which is provided with an independent intake air passage at every cylinder. CONSTITUTION:In each intake air passage 18 of an engine E which is provided with individual intake air passasges 14A-D which are independent at every cylinder 10A-D, an opening/closing valve 30 is provided and a common air intake is performed from a port 45 through a common passage part 42 and a manifold 46 on its downstream. In a control unit 100, on the basis of each input, air intake is performed from the common passage part 42 by operating a change-over valve 39 so as to close the opening/closing valve 30 and open an opening/closing valve 50 at the time of low speed-low load. At the center of a manifold 22, an electric heater 41 is provided and when it is actuated at the time of low temperature of the engine, the intake air to each cylinder can be heated overall. |
