Flexible composites comprise a fluoropolymer-contg. layer (I) laminated to one or both sides of a flexible substrate (II), with each layer being less than 5 mil thick. A 0.1-1.5 mil thick adhesive layer (III) is applied between layers (I) and (II). Opt. included is a layer of melt adhesive (IV) applied to the outer surface of layer (I) to improve heat sealability of the material to itself.
