PURPOSE:To permit to mold easily a molded product having complicated recessed and protruded configuration by employing a resin having no fluidity by a method wherein a solid or semi-foamed preform, having a size smaller than a final molded product, is formed and is arranged in a molding mold to foam it. CONSTITUTION:The softening temperatures of a skin 1 and an insert 3 are higher than the softening temperature of PVC added with foaming material. The solid or semi-foamed preform 2a, analog to a space to be filled with soft foamed layer 2 and reduced in size, is formed by employing a material, whose amount is just enough to fill up the space. The skin 1 of PVC resin, configured by vacuum forming, is mounted in the molding mold 4 and the preform 2a is arranged on the rear surface of the skin. Subsequently, the insert 3, formed by a different process and made of glass fiber reinforced AS resin, is arranged on the preform. When the temperature of the preform 2a is increased under this condition to a temperature, whereat the foaming of the preform 2a is started, to form it, the preform 2a expands while keeping an analog form and is abutted against the skin 1 and the insert 3 whereby they are connected integrally. |
