The frame (1) of a window or door has a member (3) which receives the sealing strip (4) and forms an abutment for the pane (2). The opposite side of the frame (1) has a groove (10) which receives the foot (8) of a specially profiled sealing strip (5). The sealing strip (5) is held in place by a glazing strip (9). This glazing strip (9) has a cross-section with two L shaped projections (13,14). The tip of the projection (13) presses the corner of the sealing strip (5) under the lip (10') of the groove (10) whilst the tip of the projection (14) presses the end edge of the foot (8) of the sealing strip (5) under the lip (11) of the groove (10).
