PURPOSE:To raise the recording characteristics of an ink-jet recording head by suppressing the malfunction of signals to control the discharge amount of ink by applying an oil repellent material on the outlet portions of air and ink. CONSTITUTION:Oil repellent materials 20 and 21 are applied on the peripheral face of the projection 17 of an ink nozzle plate 14, the wall face of an air discharge port 1, and the face facing the ink discharge port 4 of an air nozzle plate 2. Ink can thereby be hardly adhered to these faces, the variation in the discharge amount of ink can be suppressed by application of signals to adhered ink, and ink droplets can be directed to straightly fly on the axial center line of the ink discharge port 4. The recording characteristics can be uniformly raised. |
