CORROSION INHIBITOR FOR UNBONDED STRANDED PC STEEL WIRE

PURPOSE:To produce a significant corrosion inhibiting effect and to facilitate removal by applying a weakly alkaline corrosion inhibitor to the outer surface of an unbonded stranded PC steel wire. CONSTITUTION:A weakly alkaline corrosion inhibitor of 8-10 pH is applied to the outer surface of an unbonded stranded PC steel wire. For example a pasty corrosion inhibitor of 8-10 pH prepd. by adding about 3% nonionic surfactant and about 4% silicon compound to animal or vegetable fats and oils as a base is applied. Since the corrosion inhibitor is soluble in water, it can be easily removed with water at a wire fixing part such as anchor.
