PURPOSE:To provide an n type polyacetylene which is stable against oxidation and uniformly doped, by doping polyacetylene with a mixture of an aminosilane compd. and a metallic amide. CONSTITUTION:An n type polyacetylene is obtd. by doping polyacetylene with a mixture of an aminosilane compd. of the formula (wherein R<1>-R<4> are each H, 15C or lower alkyl, aryl, carbonyl, amino, and at least one of R<1>-R<4> is always a group other than H; R<5> is methylene, ethylene, carbonyl, amino or a direct bond) such as aminomethyltrimethylsilane and a metallic amide such as sodium amide. The n type polyacetylene is uniformly doped with the mixture and has a low specific resistance. By the action of the doping agent, the n type polyacetylene is a stable trans type polyacetylene and its specific resistance is relatively stable even when exposed to air. Hence, it has excellent oxidation resistance. |
