PURPOSE:To improve the heating efficiency by irradiation of semiconductor laser light and the change rate of reflectivity by heating by coating the surface of an optical recording material layer with a film consisting of an oxide. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the optical recording material layer is coated with the film consisting of the oxide. For example, an oxide film 3 is formed on the surface of an Ag-Zn alloy layer 2 formed on a substrate 1. The essential component of the oxide layer 3 is the oxide of Zn and the film thickness thereof is made about 100-1,000Angstrom . The reflectivity in a near IR region is thereby decreased and the photosensitivity for the semiconductor laser light in the stage of optical recording is improved. The change of the reflectivity by the irradiation of the light is increased as well. |
