PURPOSE:To thoroughly maintain sealing performance even at a high temperature and a high pressure by forming a porous, flat disk-like seal with a lip seal material made of ethylene tetrafluoride resin added with graphite and carbon fibers and cylindrically protruding the inner periphery of this disk-like seal to form a lip section. CONSTITUTION:When a lip seal 11 made of ethylene tetrafluoride resin added with graphite and carbon fibers as required is to be fitted to the shaft seal device of a compressor for car air conditioner or the like, a fitting O-ring 31 is pinched on the step-like ring inner wall of a compressor container 32 and a holding ring body 20 is tightly inserted. The lip seal 11 is brought into close contact with this holding ring body 20 under pressure by a presser ring 26 via an O-ring 30, and the lip section 13 cylindrically and protrusively molded on the said lip seal 11 is arranged on the high-pressure side so that the rotary shaft S of the compressor is slidably sealed. Accordingly, a sealing line passing from the said rotary shaft S through the said lip seal 11 and O-ring 30 to the said holding ring body 20 and a sealing line passing from the said holding ring body 20 through the said fitting O-ring 31 to the said compressor container 32 are formed to seal a fluid. |
