<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an exciter for a synchronous machine having high reliability by controlling field voltage in response to the intermediate value of output signals from an automatic voltage regulating circuit, a reactive current control circuit and a constant excitation control circuit. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate-value selecting circuit 16 selects an intermediate value among an output signal from an automatic voltage regulating circuit 7, an output signal from a reactive current control circuit 9 and an output signal from a constant excitation control circuit 15, and transmits it over a phase control circuit 14. The current set value of the constant excitation control circuit 15 is set at a value slightly smaller than a maximum field current value, which is continued to a field winding 2 for a synchronous machine 1 and can be conducted. According to such constitution, an exciter for the synchronous machine, which has the automatic voltage regulating function, insufficient excitation limiting function and overrexcitation limiting function of the synchronous machine and can stably operate the synchronous machine continuously even against any single trouble in the functions, can be acquired.</p> |
