PURPOSE:To increase the free volume inside a cell to absorb a volume increase during the discharge and prevent an expansion of the cell after the discharge, by furnishing a positive electrode ring with a reverse L in the section, which has cuttings at the leg. CONSTITUTION:Through a positive electrode ring 12 which has numerous holes 11 of about 0.3mm diameter as cuttings, at the leg 10 shown in the figure, a positive electrode is composed pressed and fixed at the inside of a positive electrode case. The whole volume of the holes 11 of the positive electrode ring 12 occupys about 40% of the whole volume, and the free volume can be increased. Therefore, an expansion of the nclosed type alkaline button cell with the discharge of the cell can be easily prevented, and a highly reliable cell can be manufactured. |
